Kicker report River Plate midfielder Exequiel Palacios will undergo a medical in Buenos Aires next week ahead of joining the Bundesliga in January.
The 21-year-old will join Bayer for €22 million after the two clubs came to an agreement on Thursday evening, according to Argentine media.
Bayer 04 sporting director Simon Rolfes told Manuel Veth of Forbes: “We are looking for good players at a young age. Probably that kid could fit. For sure we are looking for young players at a good age.”
Palacios has four caps for Argentina and has played 77 times for River Plate, scoring seven and creating 10 since making his debut in 2015.
