Schalke want to extend the contract of goalkeeper Alexander Nübel to stop the German from joining Bayern Munich on a free transfer, according to Bild.
The 23-year-old has a contract with Schalke until 30 June 2020 and is free to join another club in the summer.
As well as Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Nübel, who has been ever-present for Schalke in the Bundesliga this season.
