Max Kruse was expected to leave the Bundesliga this summer after a fantastic campaign for Werder Bremen attracted interest from clubs around Europe.
However, Deich Stube claim that Eintracht Frankfurt, potentially in need of a Luka Jović replacement, could be set to battle the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan for the highly rated 31-year-old.
Kruse, who is thought to be interested in a move abroad, may be convinced to stay in Germany, with the potential Jović exit freeing up funds for Kruse to receive a sizeable contract offer.
The German is out of contract at Werder next month, and will surely demand a high salary, with both Spurs and Inter able to offer the forward Champions League football.
