Schalke have announced the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Sebastian Rudy for €16 million, the 28-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga club.
Head coach Domenico Tedesco was very pleased with the coup, revealing: “We are certain that with his qualities and experiences he will enrich our sometimes very young cadre and can help us directly.”
Rudy moved to Bayern last summer but he grew increasingly frustrated with his game time and voiced his discontent after Niko Kovač’s side beat Hoffenheim 3-1 on Friday.
The midfielder will wear the number 13 shirt this season as he looks to make a good first impression next Sunday where his new team will face Hertha BSC
