Despite an SWR report suggesting that Benjamin Pavard has agreed to join Bayern Munich, Sky Germany state that these are false, although meetings have taken place.
The 22-year-old defender impressed for Didier Deschamps’ France side at the World Cup as Les Bleus won the trophy beating Croatia 4-2 in the final, while Pavard arguably scored goal of the tournament with sweetly struck volley against Argentina in the Last 16.
New Bayern Munich head coach Niko Kovac is an admirer of Pavard, recently stating he is a “really good player,” while the future of Jerome Boateng could play a key role in the arrival of the Frenchman.
