Speculation is increasing of a move away from Schalke for Leon Goretzka, with both Manchester United and Barcelona interested in the Germany international.
Sporting director Christian Heidel has however ruled out a January move, telling Bild that Goretzka will either sign a new contract extension or leave in summer 2018 on a free.
Schalke have reportedly offered the 22-year-old a salary worth €8m per year with an exit clause, which would make him their highest-paid player.
