Max Kruse suffers car accident

Werder Bremen forward Max Kruse escaped serious injury after he lost control of his car near Hamburg in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Kruse lost control at 0400 local time, before reporting punctually for training at 1000 that same morning.

“On my day off, I was with my family in Hamburg and drove back through the night. I left the road, due to ice, and slipped a bit into the railings. My car is a write off, but I’m fine, so there is no need to worry. I’ll be able to play at the weekend. There will be a lot written about this, so I wanted to clarify things so there are no misunderstandings,” Kruse says on his Facebook video.

Kruse has no doubt that he will be fit enough to play when Bremen play Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday.
