Chelsea target Sead Kolasinac set to stay at Schalke

Despite reports suggesting that Chelsea were close to signing Sead Kolasinac, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has now reported that the move is off, and that Schalke would prefer to let the defender leave for free when his contract expires in summer.

Sportbild reported that Chelsea offered €6 million for the Bosnian, who was expected to join the Premier League club after Italian side Juventus dropped out. The move also looked increasingly likely after Branislav Ivanovic agreed terms with Zenit St. Petersburg.

Reports also emerged that Kolasinac had spoke to the hierarchy in a bid to push through a move to Chelsea, but Schalke would rather keep him until June. This also means that Juventus could now come back in for him come the summer.

Keep an eye out on this one..
