With a Champions League clash against Arsenal on the horizon, Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski told Sportbild that the Bundesliga club “need to be on top form” when they face the Premier League club.
“We must have every player available for the most important phase – that is my biggest wish. And we also need to be on top form when it matters most. But firstly we need to concentrate on Arsenal — that’s going to be a really difficult task,” said Lewandowski.
The Poland international recently signed a contract extension, until 2021, which put an end to reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.
