Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic will join 1. FC Köln on loan until the end of the season, per Bild. Both clubs and player have agreed to the deal.
The Serbian was close to joining Premier League club Middlesbrough over the summer however, we now understand he will be joining fellow Bundesliga club Cologne after they lost Mergim Mavraj to Hamburger SV.
Subotic has played 286 games for Dortmund. A player who was influential in their two Bundesliga championship triumphs, the 28-year-old has been a key player for the club since his move from Mainz.
