Ajax forward Amin Younes has revealed he’s frustrated after the Dutch club blocked a move that would have increased his chances of being in Joachim Löw’s Germany squad for the World Cup next summer.
“Three big clubs in Germany and Italy wanted to buy me and were willing to pay a large transfer fee, which would increase my odds on the World Cup with Germany, but a transfer was unquestionable for Ajax,” Younes told De Telegraaf [via Football Oranje].
“I have given my all for the club on and off the field for two years. Why does Ajax allow Davinson Sanchez to go and I can not? They did not even talk.”
