Roman Bürki signs Borussia Dortmund contract extension until 2021

Borussia Dortmund have extended the contract of Roman Bürki until 2021.

“Roman is the perfect fit for Borussia Dortmund on both a sporting and personal level. We like his style of play, see great potential for development in him and assume he will soon show that on a regular basis,” sporting director Michael Zorc told the club’s website.

Bürki added: “I’m very pleased with the trust Borussia Dortmund have placed in me, especially during such a tough time. I’m thrilled and proud to be the goalkeeper of such a great team, to which I give my all.”

The Switzerland international signed with BVB in 2015 from SC Freiburg, going on to play in 68 Bundesliga games as well as 14 times in Europe under Thomas Tuchel & now under current head coach, Peter Bosz.
