Sporting Lisbon have offered to sign Bastian Schweinsteiger from Manchester United, according to The Daily Record.
Schweinsteiger does not feature in Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho’s plans with the 32 year old yet to make an appearance for the Red Devils this season.
The Premier League club are keen to get the former Bayern player off their wage bill and are willing to release him in order to help himself find a new club.
Now, Sporting Lisbon are trying convince Schweinsteiger to join them in the Portuguese league despite the midfielder only stating the previous week that Manchester United would be his last club in Europe.
