Schalke manager Markus Weinzierl has urged his side “to act, not just react” ahead of their game against Nice in France tonight.
Schalke are looking to get back to winning ways after their home defeat to Bayern Munich last Friday, a performance which nonetheless reinforced the manager’s confidence in the side.
“The performance against Bayern Munich makes me confident. If we always put on a good performance, we will pick up results to match it.”
The 41-year-old also dismissed the importance of the formation he chooses tonight.
“If the performance is right, then tactics become subordinated,” the German added.
