Schalke 04 have announced the first of their two expected midfield signings today, with Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb joining up in training today.
Sporting director Christian Heidel told the club’s official website: “We are delighted that Nabil Bentaleb has made his decision to sign with us. We have been working on this deal for around six weeks. He is an aggressive, ball-winning midfielder and an extremely useful addition for Markus Weinzierl to have in the squad.”
The new Schalke man also had this to say: “I am really looking forward to this new challenge at Schalke and getting to know the fans. I first learned of Schalke’s interest six weeks ago and have been hoping since then that the transfer would be completed.”
