Xavi Simons in locker room rage after RB Leipzig defeat

Xavi Simons was left frustrated by RB Leipzig’s 1-0 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday afternoon. According to BILD, the Dutchman was unapproachable as he tried to frantically take off his jacket before “angrily” hitting the entrance door with the palm of his hand. And then after six minutes, Xavi was showered and ready to leave.

When asked about the mood in the dressing room, Leipzig’s Marco Rose told MDR: “It’s part of the situation that the boys are annoyed. It would also be stupid if they didn’t.”

Per the report, Xavi is often particularly angry after defeats, but he still took time out to talk to the winners of the “Four 2 Score” tournament while giving away his worn football boots.

Despite defeat against Frankfurt, Xavi was still one of Leipzig’s best performers on Saturday, covering the most distance (11.58km) and winning the most duels (25).

Ansgar Knauff’s goal was the difference as Leipzig suffered their fourth Bundesliga defeat of the season, which now puts them 12 points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen after 17 games.
