Watch: Bayer Leverkusen go 32 games unbeaten as Bundesliga dream lives on

Bayer Leverkusen have moved eight points clear of Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich as they go 32 games unbeaten across all competitions after Saturday’s win in Heidenheim.

A difficult game, Jeremie Frimpong opened the scoring for Xabi Alonso’s side before Amine Adli doubled his team’s lead. But it was a nervy-ending for Leverkusen after Tim Kleindienst pulled a goal back for the hosts with four minutes remaining.

Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten run of 32 games across all competitions equals Bayern Munich’s all-time German football record. With upcoming games against struggling Mainz and rivals FC Köln, that would could well go on a little longer.

Jeremie Frimpong’s incredible goal involvements

Against Heidenheim, Frimpong was one of B04’s most vibrant players in the game. His goal was a Leverkusen trade mark as he met the ball at the back post. In 21 games this season, the right-back is on seven goals and six assists.
