VfB Stuttgart in talks with Borussia Mönchengladbach over a loan move for Florian Neuhaus

Bild reports that VfB Stuttgart are in talks with Borussia Mönchengladbach over a potential loan move for midfielder Florian Neuhaus.

Stuttgart have already held talks over a six-month loan for the 26-year-old. A move could include a purchase option but the value of this is currently unknown as Neuhaus only signed a contract extension at Gladbach last summer. Lazio and Sevilla are currently out of the race for Neuhaus, whilst West Ham and Aston Villa continue to show an interest in the midfielder.

At Stuttgart, Neuhaus would provide an alternative to the likes of Atakan Karazor and Angelo Stiller who have been their main midfield pair as they currently sit third in the Bundesliga after a 5-2 win against RB Leipzig at the weekend.

If Neuhaus is to leave Gladbach in the winter, Fortuna Düsseldorf’s Ao Tanaka or Montpellier’s Joris Chotard are potential replacements for the former Germany international.

Neuhaus showed that is still a valuable player to Gladacbh at the weekend as he put in a good defensive performance as Gladbach drew 0-0 with Bayer Leverkusen with Neuhaus most notably making a game-saving tackle on Jeremie Frimpong.
