Union Berlin yet to give green light for Kevin Behrens to join Wolfsburg

Sky Germany reports that Union Berlin have yet to give the green light for Kevin Behrens to move to Wolfsburg despite the Wolves pushing for his signature.

There is yet to be a verbal agreement between Behrens and Wolfsburg but the striker has made it clear that he is interested in moving to Wolfsburg.

As there is no agreement between the clubs yet, the rumoured price of Behrens is said to be around €2.5-4m. The deal being completed is relying on Union who are working on trying to complete the transfer of Yorbe Vertessen from PSV Eindhoven.

After a strong start to the season, Behrens’ form has matched that of Union and the 32-year-old has struggled in front of goal and has not scored since August. The impending arrival of Vertessen as well as the arrival of Chris Bedia earlier in the window means that Union are comfortable to allow Behrens to end his three-year spell at the club.
