Sané and Coman: Bayern Munich injury update ahead of Heidenheim clash

Leroy Sané left the training pitches at Bayern Munich’s Säbener Straße afte just 30 minutes on Tuesday. Using the international break to recover from groin and patellar tendon problems, Sané then worked individually in the gym due to workload management.

Kingsley Coman made his Bayern Munich return against Borussia Dortmund last weekend after suffering an MCL tear in his left knee in January. Like Sané, the Frenchman also worked in the gym on Tuesday ahead of Bayern’s clash against Heidenheim on Saturday afternoon.

Sacha Boey, Bouna Sarr and Tarek Buchmann all missed training as they remain sidelined, while Noussair Mazraoui was also absent on Tuesday due to an illness. The Moroccon defender returned against Dortmund following a torn muscle fibre.

After tearing his adductor muscle, Manuel Neuer resumed running duties and is expected to return against Arsenal, meaning Sven Ulreich will again deputise for Germany’s No. 1.

Good news for Bayern Munich

But there is some good news for Bayern Munich fans. Aleksandar Pavlovic and Raphael Guerreiro both returned to training and completed the full session. Pavlovic withdrew from the German squad after contracting tonsillitis while Guerreiro was absent from the Portugal team because of a torn muscle fibre. According to Kicker, both players should be fit enough to start for the Rekordmeister on matchday 28.
