Revealed: No further signings expected at RB Leipzig

Despite Marco Rose wanting a new addition, RB Leipzig are not expected to make any further signings before Thursday’s deadline.

That’s according to BILD, who report that although Leipzig are winless in 2024 with Bundesliga defeats against Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart, the recent losses is the result of a lack of attitude, with those within the club believing the squad is strong enough to go until summer without reinforcement.

Sporting director Rouven Schröder did state that they were looking at signing a young offensive player that would have provided cover, but would not have been a real reinforcement until the summer- but the current market didn’t offer anything suitable.

Eljif Elmas is the only player to join RB Leipzig this month, signing from Napoli for €24m. The North Macedonian international has played 21 minutes across three Bundesliga games, and adds to Leipzig’s attack following the departure of Emil Forsberg. Not only that, Dani Olmo is also fit again, and has since returned to action.

The Spaniard’s return is welcomed in what is already a small Leipzig squad, hence Rose’s desire for further additions.
