Predicted Germany XI vs France: Kai Havertz to start

Kai Havertz is in excellent form for Arsenal and is expected to lead the line for Germany against France on Saturday night. The German has scored in his last four consecutive Premier League games for Mikel Arteta’s side, with Julian Nagelsmann opting to start Havertz ahead of Niclas Füllkrug.

Coming into the international break, Nagelsmann has had his fair share of withdrawals to contend with. Aleksandar Pavlovic contacted tonsillitis while Manuel Neuer and Jan-Niklas Beste both returned to their clubs after picking up injuries.

There was maiden call-ups for Maximilian Beier and Deniz Undav, with the attacking duo given an excellent opportunity to showcase their abilities to Nagelsmann ahead of Euro 2024, while Maximilian Mittelstädt is also a new player in the squad and should be awarded a start at left-back ahead of David Raum.

Toni Kroos has also returned to the squad after his international retirement in 2021. The Real Madrid player is expected to start alongside Bayer Leverkusen’s Robert Andrich with Ilkay Gündogan operating higher up the pitch alongside Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala.
