Edin Terzic is expected to name the same Borussia Dortmund starting eleven that suffered a 1-0 defeat against Stuttgart at the weekend when his side play Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The notable absentee coming into the game is in-form Donyell Malen. The Dutchman was injured while on international duty, and hasn’t played since. That means Jadon Sancho and Karim Adeyemi are expected to provide width, with Julian Brandt operating as the 10, and Marcel Sabitzer and Emre Can playing in a double-pivot.
Offensively, Niclas Füllkrug is Terzic’s go-to player with both Sébastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko struggling to get ahead of the German. Still, the latter duo, alongside Marco Reus, remain excellent options from the bench should Dortmund be chasing a goal.
