Markus Krösche nearing Eintracht Frankfurt agreement despite Premier League interest

Markus Krösche is one of the most sought after sporting directors in football, but he’s now expected to reach an agreement to extend his stay at Eintracht Frankfurt beyond 2025.

Negotiations between Eintracht and Krösche are ongoing and according to BILD, both parties are expected to reach an agreement which could come as early as next week, despite interest from Borussia Dortmund, who are in talks with Sven Mislintat over a potential return.

A new three-year contract for Krösche is being discussed which would tie him to the club until 2028. As reported by BILD, the 43-year-old would also see a moderate increase in his salary which is currently at around €2m but Eintracht are unable to pay €8m, which has reportedly been offered by Liverpool and Chelsea.

But money isn’t Krösche’s main motive. Per BILD, he feels the trust of Eintracht Frankfurt and enjoys the environment at the club. Despite interest, the former Leipzig man is currently discussing his future with his family before making a decision.
