Joshua Kimmich focussed on Bayern Munich amid PSG interest

Speaking after Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win against Hoffenheim on Friday night, Joshua Kimmich discussed his future amid interest from Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.

“I’m actually just concentrating on Bayern,” Kimmich told Sky Germany. “For me that [a move] wasn’t an issue at all in the winter.”

With a contract at Bayern Munich until 2025, Kimmich added: “I think we will sit down together at some point and that the club will them approach me. We will discuss everything among ourselves – and not with you.”

PSG’s interest in Kimmich has been well documented. As reported via our colleagues at Get French Football News, PSG’s attempt to lure Kimmich to the French capital has very little chance of succeeding in this window.

With Bayern and Kimmich potentially going their separate ways, there has also been discussions this season regarding his and Leon Goretzka’s inability to play alongside one another. This includes for both Bayern and Germany.

As further reported by Sky Germany, Kimmich wants to remain at the club beyond January but a departure in the summer for the 28-year-old can’t be ruled out. He has attracted interest from Europe’s top clubs and is thinking about a potential departure after almost nine years at the Allianz Arena.
