Jordan Beyer can leave Burnley if the club are relegated

Sky Germany reports that former Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Jordan Beyer can leave Burnley if the club are relegated at the end of the season.

Enquiries from Bundesliga and Premier League clubs have been made for the 23-year-old. A fee of €15m would likely be enough to allow Beyer to leave.

The defender only joined Burnley permanently in the summer from Gladbach after helping them gain promotion back to the Premier League when on loan the season before. However, injuries have meant he has only played 15 times for Burnley this season, with his last appearance coming in January.

Burnley are currently two points off of safety with three games remaining and a big game against relegation rivals Nottingham Forest on the final day of the season.

It is safe to say that Beyer will not be returning to boyhood club Gladbach. Unless a loan could be agreed, die Fohlen cannot afford the likely fee for any potential return for the 23-year-old, despite central defence being a position that needs reinforcements.
