Harry Kane returns to Bayern Munich and trains alone

After England coach Gareth Southgate confirmed Harry Kane would return to Germany on Saturday, the striker completed a training session alone at Säbener Straße

Kane has been suffering from an ankle injury which he picked up during Bayern’s 5-2 win against Darmstadt before the international break after colliding with the post. Despite travelling to England for the national team, he did not train at all. On Monday, Kane completed an individual session.

The 30-year-old will be in a race to be fit for Bayern’s game against Borussia Dortmund at the week. Kane is also in a race to be fit again to try and beat the Bundesliga goal-scoring record. In 26 games this season, Kane has scored 31 goals putting him 10 behind Robert Lewandowski’s record (41). With eight games left in the Bundesliga, the Englishman needs to play every game left if he is to have a chance of breaking the record set in 2021.

Raphaël Guerreiro also completed his own, individual, session after also picking up a muscle injury against Darmstadt.

Whilst Kingsley Coman and Noussair Mazraoui who had returned from injury before the international break continued building their fitness with an extra session on Monday.
