Eintracht Frankfurt reach total agreement to sign Can Uzun

As reported by Kerry Hau, Eintracht Frankfurt are set to complete the signing of Can Uzun (18).

Both Eintracht and FC Nürnberg have reached an agreement on the final formalities, which will see the 2. Bundesliga side earn an initial €11m, rising to €14m through performance related bonuses. Nürnberg have also retained a 10 percent sell-on clause in Uzun, who is regarded as one of Europe’s biggest talents.

Uzun, who opted to represent Turkey as opposed to Germany, has signed a contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until 2029, and will start training with his new club on July 8.

As reported in March, Uzun had already completed his medical ahead of the move, becoming the club’s second summer arrival after Krisztián Lisztes (€4.5m), although Die Adler did complete permanent moves for Hugo Ekitiké (€16.5m) and Robin Koch (Free).

With a market value of €12m, per Transfermarkt, Uzun scored 16 and created two in 30 2. Bundesliga games for Nürnberg last season, adding to his five goal contributions (three goals, two assists) in two DFB Pokal games.
