Dino Toppmöller could be fired by Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season

kicker reports that despite previous messages of support for head coach Dino Toppmöller, it is possible that he could be fired by Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season.

After Frankfurt’s tame performance in their 3-0 loss to VfB Stuttgart on Saturday, fans were calling for the sacking of Toppmöller, but he is still in charge. However, this may not be for long.

Frankfurt are of the idea that a short-term change of coach will not be worth it and outsider events such as having a young team, a lack of striker options for the first six months of the season and a big upheaval of players last summer have all been taken into account for Toppmöller’s performance. The same can be said for the fact that this is his first senior managerial role and he is expected to make mistakes.

Nevertheless, there is no guarantee that Toppmöller will remain in charge for next season as Frankfurt may run out of patience. His future would become more secure if he wins more games and does so by playing better football.

This season, Frankfurt crashed out of the DFB-Pokal at the hands of Saarbrucken and lost in a tame encounter with Union-Saint Gilloise in the Conference League but still currently sit sixth in the Bundesliga, a likely Europa League spot.
