Chris Führich set to extend his contract at VfB Stuttgart

Bild reports that Chris Führich is set to extend his contract at VfB Stuttgart, his current deal is set to expire in 2025.

Due to his performances this season, Führich is set to receive a pay rise of €1m to €2.5m a year making him one of the highest earners at the club. On Monday, the final details of the contract will be clarified, such as potential clauses for Stuttgart qualifying for the Champions League.

Führich’s new deal will also contain an updated release clause which will be slightly higher than the previous clause. The 26-year-old joined Stuttgart in 2021 from Paderborn for €2.5m but it is this season where he has flourished. In 19 games, Führich has five goals and six assists and his performances resulted in a call-up to the German national team earlier this season.

The 26-year-old follows in the footsteps of Enzo Millot, Waldemar Anton and Pascal Stenzel who have all extended their contracts this season.
