Burnley are demanding €20 million from Bayern Munich for Vincent Kompany

According to Sky Germany, Burnley are demanding €20 million from Bayern Munich for the services of Vincent Kompany.

As previously reported, Der Rekordmeister are close to securing a successor for Thomas Tuchel. A verbal agreement between the record champions and Kompany has already been reached, but the Bavarian giants still need to offer compensation to Burnley.

It is understood that Bayern are willing to offer €10 million for the former Manchester City defender. However, the recently relegated Premier League outfit are looking to double Bayern’s valuation as they look to secure €20 million for his signature.

Negotiations between the two clubs will continue, and it is expected that an acceptable fee will be agreed upon. Nevertheless, Burnley hold a significant amount of negotiating power due to the Belgian’s contract not being set to expire until the summer of 2028.

Therefore, Bayern will need to increase their bid if they are to appoint Kompany as their new head coach. With few top candidates left, Der Rekordmeister will not want to let Kompany slip through their fingers
