Bayern Munich squad for Champions League clash against Real Madrid

After recent injury scares, Leroy Sané and Matthijs de Ligt both travel to Madrid ahead of Bayern Munich’s Champions League clash against Carlo Ancelotti’s side tomorrow night.

Sané played 18 minutes against Stuttgart at the weekend, while De Ligt missed out completely after picking up a knee injury against Eintracht Frankfurt last month. The Dutchman didn’t feature in the reverse fixture against Real Madrid, but could be set to start alongside Eric Dier in defence at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Despite Konrad Laimer returning after being rested against Stuttgart, there is some bad news when it comes to Raphaël Guerreiro. Bayern confirmed that the Portugal international suffered a knee injury against Stuttgart, and he’s now a doubt for Euro 2024. Kingsley Coman is also missing from the squad list.

All to play for at the Santiago Bernabéu

With the tie level at 2-2, it’s all to play for in Madrid. Bayern Munich responded well after going 1-0 down when Vinicius Jr. put his side in the lead with goals from Sané and Harry Kane, but conceded a penalty seven minutes from time, which Vinicius Jr. dispatched.
