Anticipation mounting in Paris ahead of a potential Champions League final for Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund are just a few hours away from reaching the final of the Champions League for the first time since 2013. Having overcome PSG 1-0 at the Westfalenstadion in the first leg of their semi-final tie, BVB know that they just need to avoid defeat if they are to book their ticket to Wembley.

As well as this, having conjured up a breathtaking performance at home to Augsburg on Saturday, where Dortmund ran out 5-1 victors, there is a feel-good atmosphere around the team. With many of Die Schwarzgelben’s regular starters being rested for the clash against Jess Thorup’s side, those on the periphery of the team were able to show how they are ready to step in when required.

The BVB faithful are also equally reciprocating this positive feeling. With 2,000 Dortmund fans ready to push their side over the line in Paris later tonight, many more are expected to travel to the French capital too, as anticipation mounts ahead of a potential Champions League final.

Ahead of their meeting with PSG, BvB released a post on X, asking fans to send in pictures of their day in the French capital:

As kick-off approaches, the nerves of those connected with Die Schwarzgelben only heighten as they wait to find out their fate. Will BvB be the first team to confirm their spot in the 2024 Champions League final?
