Youssoufa Moukoko decides to stay at Borussia Dortmund

Youssoufa Moukoko (18) has decided to extend his contract at Borussia Dortmund until 2026, according to BILD. The German forward is expected to sign his new deal before the Augsburg game on Sunday.

A new three-year contract, Moukoko will receive a reported €6m salary plus a further €10m in loyalty fees. Agent Patrick Williams will also receive commission whilst the total package is reported to be around €35m.

Premier League duo Chelsea and Newcastle United, who tried luring him with a significant signing-on fee, showed considerable interest in signing Moukoko, but in the end the player decides to continue his development at Borussia Dortmund, where he’s scored six and created four in 14 Bundesliga games this season.

Moukoko has also represented BVB six times in the Champions League this season, and has also played 32 games under Edin Terzic across all competitions.

Given the interest shown in Moukoko, this is a considerable coup for BVB, after weeks of difficult negotiations, to tie the now Germany international to a new contract.
