Sky Germany reports that Yann Sommer and Bayern Munich will discuss the goalkeeper’s future when he returns from his vacation.
Inter Milan have emerged as an option for the Swiss international after their current goalkeeper Andre Onana verges on joining Manchester United.
Inter are one of many options for Sommer but his future will depend on the comeback of Manuel Neuer, who is set to return from his broken leg that he suffered in December. Sommer’s current contract at Bayern expires in 2025.
Sommer joined Bayern in January from Borussia Mönchengladbach for €9m, however, since his arrival in Bavaria the 34-year-old has not performed to the same standard that he did at Gladbach.
It is reported that coach Thomas Tuchel will make Neuer the number one as soon as he returns from his injury, which contrasts the viewpoint of former coach Julian Nagelsmann who was open to the keepers competing for the number one spot.
