Wolfsburg continue to work on Robin Gosens transfer

After David Jurásek joined Benfica, Wolfsburg are continuing their pursuit of Inter’s Robin Gosens as they look to strengthen at left-back following the departure of Paulo Otavio.

As reported by Kicker, Wolfsburg continue to make intensive efforts to sign Gosens – a loan with a purchase option is conceivable for the club. Although strong interest in Jurásek, VfL’s priority was always Gosens with the club unwilling to match Benfica’s €14m they paid to sign the former. However, although 29, Wolfsburg would be willing to invest a double-digit million fee for Gosens, who is yet to decide if he wants to return to Germany.

Although Wolfsburg have a need to strengthen at left-back, they face competition from fellow Bundesliga Union Berlin to sign Gosens. Die Eisernen can also offer Champions League football to the Germany international. Inter would be open to a loan move with an option to buy, but the Serie A side would expect to receive between €15m-€18m.
