Winning the Champions League with Bayern Munich appeals to Harry Kane

As reported by Sport Bild, the idea of winning the Champions League with Bayern appeals to transfer target Harry Kane.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel is in constant communication with the Tottenham Hotspur captain and even met with him in his London home. It was during these discussions that the 29-year-old forward admitted that the idea of winning trophies, in particular, the Champions League is very appealing to him.

And why wouldn’t it be? The all-time England and Spurs top goalscorer has only lifted one trophy in his career which was the Audi Cup in 2019. Ironically enough that was against Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena.

Bayern have already had one bid rejected for Kane worth around €70m. However, it’s likely that a second bid will be submitted in the near future. The striker’s current contract runs out in 2024 and could threaten to not sign an extension and leave for free the following summer. This is a situation that Bayern have also thought about but would ideally want Kane with them for the upcoming campaign.

Spurs are gearing up for a pre-season tour in Asia whereas Bayern are due at their training camp in Tegernsee on July 15th. Ideally, Bayern want to save Kane the trip and get this deal done.
