Sadio Mané could be reunited with former Liverpool team-mate Roberto Firmino in Saudi Arabia, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Bayern Munich forward is wanted by several Saudi clubs but none more so than Al Ahli who recently signed Firmino from Liverpool.
There is yet to be an official offer for the Senegalese international, however, Mané is certainly wanted by Saudi Arabia even if a move were to happen next year. Nevertheless, internally, Mané’s management has made it clear to the record champions that the 31-year-old wishes to stay beyond the summer. This could change if the forward isn’t in Tuchel’s plans and a lucrative offer comes in from the likes of Al Ahli.
It has not been the dream start to life in Bavaria this season for Mané, as injuries and turmoil have plagued his time at Die Rekordmeister. However, a return of 12 goals and six assists in 38 appearances, while helping Bayern retain their Bundesliga crown is far from disastrous.
While he was lured to Germany to seemingly play as a striker in Julian Nagelsmann’s makeshift system in the absence of Robert Lewandowski, it has been clear to see that he can make more of an impact from out wide. Nevertheless, Bayern currently boast a plethora of options in wide areas which could see playtime limited.
