VfB Stuttgart target Angelo Stiller to replace Wataru Endo

Bild reports that VfB Stuttgart will target Hoffenheim midfielder Angelo Stiller to replace the departing Wataru Endo who is set to join Liverpool.

Stiller is reportedly open to the move to Stuttgart giving him the chance to reunite with his old boss Sebastian Hoeneß. Hoeneß coached Stiller in both the Bayern Munich youth team as well as at Hoffenheim during his time as manager at both clubs.

The 22-year-old’s current contract at Hoffenheim expires in 2025 and the midfielder is currently valued at €5m which Stuttgart would be able to afford after the sale of Endo.

Endo is set to complete his move to Liverpool for €20m over the coming days and the Japanese international leaves a big hole in Stuttgart’s midfield as well as the dressing room. Whether Stiller is able to fill the hole left by the 30-year-old could be the difference between Stuttgart being relegated or not.
