VfB Stuttgart are the favourite Bundesliga side to secure the signing of Bayern Munich goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, according to Sport Bild.
The 26-year-old is definitely heading for the exit door this summer with Manuel Neuer due to return to action in September and Yann Sommer currently occupying the number one shirt.
As per the report, Nübel is expected to make his decisions in the coming days. A number of clubs are currently monitoring the situation but when it comes to the Bundesliga, it’s Stuttgart who are favourites to sign the shot-stopper.
Nübel is open to a move to Stuttgart but only if he is guaranteed regular playing time. It’s believed that if he does make the move to Stuttgart, this will be the case.
According to TranfersMarkt, Nübel’s market value is estimated at €8m. However, Bayern could agree to a slightly lower figure in order to move the 26-year-old on sooner rather than later.
There is a catch, however. Bayern are keen to add a buy-back clause in case Nübel excels at his new club.
