Unnamed Bundesliga duo submit offer for Hamburg’s Bakery Jatta

As reported by Hamburger Morgenpost, two Bundesliga clubs have joined the race to sign Hamburg’s Bakery Jatta (25), with both submitting offers for the Gambian winger.

Jatta is in the final year of his contract, and is therefore free to negotiate with clubs from January 1. Hamburg would like to extend the contract of Jatta but with Bundesliga, and other European clubs showing a serious interest, the likelihood that the 25-year-old plays at the Volksparkstadion next season is diminishing.

Per the MOPO’s report, one offer from an unnamed Bundesliga club is lucrative that it could be out of Hamburg’s financial power to compete with the first division club in order to tie Jatta down to a new contract.

Jatta has six goal contributions (three goals and three assists) in 16 2. Bundesliga games for Hamburg this season, as they sit in third – occupying the promotion playoff, four points behind leaders Holstein Kiel.
