Thomas Tuchel’s conducts first training session as Bayern Munich head coach

Thomas Tuchel took charge of his first training session at Bayern Munich’s Säbener Straße on Tuesday, which was open to media representatives for the first 15 minutes.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, a player that Tuchel has coached on two occasions before, returned to training but Jamal Musiala remains a doubt for Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga games against Borussia Dortmund on April 1 as he trained individually.

Tuchel led his first unit with Arno Michels, which also included an introductory speech. Bayern II players Younes Aitamer, Angelo Brückner, Taichi Fukui, Justin Janitzek, Gabriel Marusic and Aleksandar Pavlovic as well as keeper Johannes Schenk were all present alongside six professionals: Sven Ulreich, Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, Joao Cancelo, Bouna Sarr and Choupo-Moting.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea head coach was also pictures have a long face to face conversation with Sané – a player whom Tuchel rates highly. The 27-year-old has started Bayern’s last two Bundesliga games, both scoring and assisting.
