The Bundesliga & 2. Bundesliga’s most popular player jerseys

Jerseys, shirts, trikots. Whatever you call them, we all love a good football jersey with our favourite player on the back. Football fans worldwide purchase their club’s latest kit each season with a player’s name on the back. But what is the most popular player jersey from each club in the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga this campaign?

Let’s get the obvious one out the way. Bayern Munich spent upwards of €100m on Harry Kane this summer, and it’s no surprise to see him at the club’s top of the player jersey list. The English captain has hit the ground running, scoring goals and is liked for his character off the pitch.

However, league leaders Bayer Leverkusen don’t have their number one striker on top of their jersey list. Perhaps people didn’t think that Victor Boniface would have made the impact that he has. Instead, it’s former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka who is the fan’s favourite.

Likewise, RB Leipzig, Union Berlin, and Werder Bremen all had new players at the top of their lists. The Leipzig faithful admire Xavi Simons, while Union prefer Leonardo Bonucci, and Bremen have Naby Keïta as their number one.
