Real Madrid close to completing deal for Jude Bellingham

Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid are close to completing the signing of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.

It is reported that personal terms between Bellingham and Real have almost been agreed and a meeting is to be set up with Borussia Dortmund to complete the agreement. The 19-year-old is currently valued at €120m by transfermarkt and his contract is valid until 2025 with Dortmund.

Real hope to finalise the deal this month in order to avoid any late U-turns. This is similar to how they completed the Aurélien Tchouaméni deal last summer. Bellingham will be able to learn from some of the best midfielders around as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric begin to wind down their careers in the Spanish capital.

Bellingham joined Dortmund in 2020 from Birmingham City for €25m after a bedding-in period he has become one of Dortmund’s most important players and has this season captained the team in the absence of Marco Reus and Mats Hummels.

This season is set to be Bellingham’s best when it comes to output as he has scored 11 and assisted seven in his 40 appearances.
