RB Leipzig and Union Berlin working on Isco deal

As reported by Sky Germany, both RB Leipzig and Union Berlin are working on a deal to sign Isco, who is currently a free agent.

Union wishes to boost their attacking options with the signing of Isco. The potential signing of the 30-year-old is already popular in the dressing room in Köpenick. Captain Christopher Trimmel spoke on the rumours: “He is a world-class player. It’s a bit unrealistic from that point of view, but maybe there’s some reason why he wants to join us. I would wish.”

Union have also recently sold Genki Haraguchi to VfB Stuttgart.

The signing of Isco would provide Union with much-needed European experience as they play in the playoffs of the Europa League.

As for RB Leipzig, they are interested in Isco due to the injury Dani Olmo sustained. The torn muscle fibre leaves Olmo out for several weeks and the signing of the Spaniard would prove to be cheaper than Nicoló Zaniolo who Leipzig have also been linked to

As Isco is a free agent, there is no rush to complete the deal before Tuesday’s deadline.
