Predicted RB Leipzig XI vs Manchester City

RB Leipzig host Manchester City in the Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday night but Marco Rose’s side face a potential blow ahead of their clash against the Premier League club.

After returning against Wolfsburg for a brief cameo, Christopher Nkunku only completed part of Tuesday’s training session after a reaction to his injury that kept the Frenchman out for three months. Rose confirmed that Nkunku won’t start against Pep Guardiola’s side, and they’ll make a late decision as to whether he will feature at all.

Rose will stick with his 4-2-3-1 and he’ll likely field the same back-four that he did against Wolfsburg. Konrad Laimer didn’t start at the weekend, but we can expect to see him back in the XI alongside Xaver Schlager in central midfield.

Dominik Szoboszlai is Leipzig’s key player and is expected to partner Emil Forsberg and Timo Werner behind André Silva.

As for Manchester City, they will be without Kevin de Bruyne, Aymeric Laporte and John Stones for this tie.

Predicted RB Leipzig XI vs Manchester City

Janis Blaswich – Lukas Klostermann, Willi Orban, Joško Gvardiol, David Raum – Konrad Laimer, Xaver Schlager – Dominik Szoboszlai, Emil Forsberg, Timo Werner – André Silva.
