Predicted Borussia Dortmund XI vs Bochum

Borussia Dortmund will look to extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga on Friday night when they make the short trip to Bochum. Kick-off at VfL’s Vonovia Ruhrstadion is at 20:30 local time.

For the most part, Edin Terzic will have a fully fit squad. The only notable absentee will be Nico Schlotterbeck. The central-defender was substituted against Eintracht Frankfurt at half-time and has a muscular problem, meaning that Schlotterbeck was unable to take part in training. Borussia Dortmund will also be without January arrival Julien Duranville.

Expect to see Niklas Süle return to the starting lineup in place of Schlotterbeck, partnering Mats Hummels in defence. Other than that one forced changed, expect to see Terzic name the same XI that beat Eintracht 4-0 last weekend.

Hummels, Julian Ryerson, Marco Reus and Anthony Modeste are all one yellow card away from suspension.

Borussia Dortmund will look to utilise the pace and power of Donyell Malen and Karim Adeyemi, supporting Sébastien Haller. Malen has six goals and three assists in his last five Bundesliga games whilst Adeyemi assisted two last weekend – their form means Reus, who signed a one-year contract extension on Thursday, will find himself on the bench.

Predicted Borussia Dortmund XI vs Bochum

Gregor Kobel – Julian Ryerson, Niklas Süle, Mats Hummels, Raphael Guerreiro – Emre Can, Jude Bellingham, Julian Brandt – Donyell Malen, Karim Adeyemi, Sébastien Haller.
