Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich host FC Köln at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening.
The Rekordmeister will be confident heading into their first home game of the season despite their 1-1 draw at RB Leipzig at the weekend, and despite knowing that Köln put seven past Werder Bremen in the Topspiel.
Fans may expect to see Thomas Müller and Kingsley Coman in place of Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sané on Tuesday evening as Julian Nagelsmann looks to navigate the Englische Woche with as few fitness problems as possible.
But doing that increases the risk of Steffen Baumgart’s Köln playing their game of pressing high up the pitch. One option for Baumgart is starting both Steffen Tigges, who scored a brace against Bremen, and new arrival Davie Selke, with both looking to put pressure on Bayern’s back four.
Yann Sommer, who earned praise from Julian Nagelsmann, also looked a little shaky when in possession of the ball against Leipzig as he looks to create an understanding with his new teammates.
