Oliver Glasner rejects first contract offer amid interest from England

Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Oliver Glasner wishes to take his time over a possible contract extension following interest from English clubs, according to Sky Germany

Frankfurt bosses are keen to extend the 48-year-old’s contract as they don’t want to lose a good coach on a free transfer. Despite a disappointing couple of results over the past couple of weeks, Glasner still has the backing of the board. Winning the Europa League last season has certainly given Glasner a bit of time to turn things around.

As per the report, Frankfurt has already offered Glasner a first offer but it’s been rejected by the Austrian.

This is possibly because of rumoured interest from clubs in England. Sky’s report does not mention any specific clubs but it’s clear that Glasner does not want to rush into anything if an exciting opportunity presents itself in the near future.

Frankfurt are currently in 6th position in the Bundesliga, 6 points off 4th place SC Freiburg.
