Official | Marcus Thuram signs for Inter

Inter have announced the signing of Marcus Thuram who joins on a free transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The Frenchman’s move away from Gladbach is no surprise. It’s been known for months that the 25-year-old would leave at the end of the season in order to take the next step in his career.

Thuram was monitored by a number of Europe’s top sides including PSG, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Milan.

Having snubbed PSG, there was a brief moment when it appear Thuram would fly to Italy and sign for Milan. However, Inter quickly hijacked the deal and persuaded the forward to sign for the blue half of Milan.

The Frenchman enjoyed an excellent campaign with 23 goal contributions (16 goals, 7 assists) in 32 games across all competitions for Die Fohlen in 2022/23.

During his four years in Germany, Thuram has scored 44 and created 29 in 134 games across all competitions for Gladbach following his €9m from Guingamp in 2019.
